Welcome to the Real World is a game developed to simulate what finances would look like after high school graduation. Multiple careers available in the hospital setting were researched for Kansas City’s specific qualifications and annual starting pay.
Finances and money are among the leading causes of stress reported by Americans. Stress not only increases the risk of chronic disease, but it can also cause psychological, suppressed immunity and inflammation, which are both root causes of many prevalent chronic disease conditions. Having our participating youth learn about finances at an earlier age not only prepares them for adulthood but to fully understand the importance of stress management and mental health’s effect on ones’ body.
