Intentional and mindful relaxation can reduce anxiety and stress, help improve mood, and bolster productivity. Our hope is that you will explore the resources and tools on this page to practice self-care and personal wellness.

Spiritual and emotional wellness

Meditation

Often when we think of wellness or well-being we think of our physical bodies. However, it is much more than that with emotional and spiritual wellness needing to be a primary focus on our wellness journey.

The resources below are meant to help you pause and connect to and reflect on your emotions in this moment. In those moments of calm, remember why you do what you do and what you are working towards.

Wellness through environment

NatureResearch reveals that environments can increase or reduce stress. Being in or even viewing nature scenes can reduce feelings of anger, anxiety, fear, and despair. A walk outside has been proven to reduce blood pressure, muscle tension, and the production of stress hormones. Even a plant in a room or office can influence your mental wellness. Get up and go outside! If you can't, view one of the relaxing nature videos below.

Let music keep you healthy

MusicThere are few things that stimulate the brain the way music does.

A Johns Hopkins research study shows that listening to must can reduce anxiety, blood pressure, and pain as well as improve sleep quality, mood, mental alertness, and memory.

Virtual tours

Tours

Travelling and having new experiences in new places is scientifically proven to enhance creativity, relieve stress, and boost our happiness. Though our ability to travel right now is limited, you can still take a moment to experience virtual tours from around the world.
