We offer a full range of outpatient substance use treatments for adults and teens.

Our expertise in substance use treatment

At UH Behavioral Health, you have access to highly skilled specialists in substance use disorders. Our providers have published research and are nationally recognized. For instance, one of our specialists, Douglas Burgess, MD, is known throughout the U.S. for his expertise in opioid treatment.

We help people who are dependent on all types of substances, including alcohol, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamine and opioids.

Our compassionate approach

From the moment you meet our staff, you will begin to experience hope. We believe recovery is possible no matter what challenges you are facing. We are dedicated to helping you reach the goals you set for your life.

We do so in an environment where you will not be judged. Research shows that people are more likely to seek treatment when substance use disorder programs are free of stigma. And that's just what you get at UH Behavioral Health. After an initial assessment, you will be seen by one of our caring providers, who will create a treatment plan that best fits your needs.

Our treatments are comprehensive and can include:

  • Counseling.
  • Education about recovery from addiction.
  • Relapse prevention.
  • Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

We accept people where they are in their recovery journey. If you are ready to begin yours, won't you let us help you take the first step?
