Virtual Care Services Provided
Our providers are able to treat the following health issues/concerns via On-Demand Virtual Care Visits:
If you have health concerns like the ones below, those are best provided by your Primary Care Provider. Call 816-404-CARE (2273) to schedule an appointment if you have any of the following needs:
- Chronic care treatment (diabetes, congestive heart failure, high blood pressure, etc.)
- Medication refills/prescription refills
- Lab results
- Diagnostic tests ordering (such as blood tests, x-rays, MRIs, etc.)
- Transition of care to a new provider
- Depression or anxiety diagnosis or treatment
The benefits of an online visit
Directions to Access On-Demand Virtual Visits
If you are not a current portal user, please click the “Enroll” button and follow the directions. You will have immediate access to schedule a virtual care visit. A registration assistant will contact you prior to your visit to gather the necessary insurance and financial information.
If you are a current portal user, please “log in” then select “View & Schedule Appointments. ”Next, select “Schedule a New Appointment.”
You will be asked to choose a reason for your visit; please select “On-Demand Virtual Visit” and hit “Search.”
You will be asked to “Choose a location;” please select “UH On-Demand Virtual Clinic.” Click the “Next” button and you will be taken to a screen where you will schedule your virtual visit.
Please select a date for your visit (including same-day appointments) and under “Need a specific provider?” please select “On-Demand Virtual Provider.” From here, please “select” the time slot for your visit.
You then will be asked to describe the reason for the virtual visit; then click “Schedule Appointment.”
You will receive an email with instructions to access the online virtual visit. If you want to save some time, you can download the Zoom App prior to your scheduled appointment. Otherwise you will be prompted to download the app when your Zoom link is sent to you via text prior to your scheduled appointment.
