A foot problem can make it hard to live each day to the fullest. When you can't get around without aching, you can't get to all the things you want or need to do.
At University Health, we understand this. That's why we have dedicated foot specialists. Our caring experts offer comprehensive podiatry services to help keep your feet healthy and pain-free.
Complete podiatry services
Our board-certified podiatrists can help you with any foot problem. That's true whether your foot issue was caused by a sudden injury, diabetes, or the wear and tear of walking over time. This means that there's no need to travel far to get the care you need.
Here are some of the many conditions our highly skilled foot doctors treat:
- Achilles tendon injuries.
- Arthritis of the foot and ankle.
- Deformities, such as Charcot feet.
- Flat feet.
- Hammertoes, claw toes and mallet toes.
- Heel pain.
- Ingrown nails.
- Masses or growths.
- Tendon problems.
- Wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers.
Most of the time we can treat foot pain and other problems with nonsurgical methods. The treatments we use include orthotics (such as shoe inserts), special exercises, bracing and injections. We also teach you how you can keep your feet healthy.
But if surgery is the best answer for your foot problem, we have the skill set you need.
We perform many procedures to correct foot problems. And they include newer, minimally invasive techniques that speed your recovery. For example, we may use very small incisions to treat heel pain with surgery or with ultrasonic-energy instruments.
What to expect at our podiatry clinics
Our team is friendly and compassionate. And we're interested in knowing our patients. That's something you'll notice at each office visit. We'll take the time to listen intently and answer your questions. We believe this is one of the best ways to understand your foot problem so that we can help you.
After diagnosing your foot condition, we will discuss all of the treatment options available to you.
Often, we work closely with other medical specialists to enhance your foot care. This also helps us address other aspects of your health that may be contributing to a foot issue. For example, we may consult with other specialists or recommend that you receive physical therapy or visit our diabetes or wound care specialists. You will get excellent care from this team approach.
